Earth is our second mother. The child leaves the parent’s lap, and goes down to the earth in the first major developmental transition.
One of my kids’ favorite games was going to “Windworld.” Our driveway is a mile long dirt road. They’d stick their heads out of the window; sing, yell, soak it all in at 14 mph.
